All classes are currently held at Cypress Pillar Healing Arts in Sarasota, Florida. Some are also available online virtually via Zoom.

Intro to GC Bellydance

If you are just starting your journey in Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance®, this is the class for you! Learn the basic foundational steps for this specific dance vocabulary and improvisational group dance. Learn to “speak” this dance language. Discover what all the fun is about, connect with fellow dancers, smile and have a blast learning this transformative dance form.


For Misha, it is the dance that brings such beauty and fullness to life and in Level 1 she shares this passion with dancers who are both new and seasoned in the art by introducing the foundational movements and ideas of Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance.


All students, regardless of previous bellydance experience, begin their journey in this Intro course.

Intermediate GC Bellydance

Strap on those zils and get ready to level up! Level 2 students grow their GC tribal vocabulary in this class, adding in arm patterns, traveling, and layers to previously learned movements. We expand on the core families of movements and add in fun and funky new combos too. Dancers become part of the tribe and discover how to dance using different tribal formations. We also begin to look at cultural and musicality in this class, learning drum rhythms, costuming and more!


In this intermediate level course, we focus on continually improving and constant growth. In this level, Dancers bloom and grow to know a richer and greater vocabulary, connecting to each other and the tribe, and learning how to dance the GC format. Dancers will delve deeper into dance with one another, exploring the arrangements of Tribal dance and formations.


Admittance to Level 2 requires instructor permission. Generally, students complete a minimum of 6 months (3-4 sessions) of Level 1 before advancing to Level 2. This class is required for dancers who wish to perform with Misha.

Level Up Drills

This class is designed for all levels of dancers who want to level up their bellydance skills. Each week, we explore a different dance theme or movement and work it through the body. One week we may cover traveling movements, another we may work on drilling locks and pops, and another may focus on arms or hands. The intention for each class is to challenge the dancer to move in ways that will improve technique while having fun. In this class, we explore movements from all styles of the Middle Eastern dance family tree (often known as  “bellydance”), and we throw in yummy stretches, yoga, strength training, and more – all to keep the body happy and moving and grooving with strength and poise as you dance. 


Misha’s Level Up Drills can be taken in person at Cypress Pillar Healing Arts in Sarasota, Florida or virtually online via Zoom. All classes are recorded and are available via a private video link after class is held for a 3 month period.

Admittance to Level Up Drills is open to *all* styles and levels of bellydance experience!


Tribal Grooves

Tribal Grooves is a fast-paced follow along fun fitness class. Worried about doing the moves perfectly? Here the dance is not about technique, but rather the pure joy of feeling how great the moves can be in your body. And, of course, burning some serious calories with a cardio dance blast! Each one hour class includes a warm up, a bit of conditioning, and fabulous follow-along songs that will give you a workout that’s tribal bellydance-inspired.
